Why You Should Stay at Wild Dunes Resort in Charleston, SC.
Need a little vacay? Same! This time of year is when we start to get that itch to book a trip out of town and to somewhere different than the rest. If you don’t have Charleston, South Carolina on your radar to visit, now is the time to add it to the top of your list! I’m not just saying this because of Bravo’s Southern Charm, either (; Before you book your trip, let’s get down to business and chat about where to stay while you’re in Charleston. My recommendation would hands-down be Wild Dunes Resort. It’s the perfect destination hotel to relax, play and be together season after season.
Here’s why you should stay at the Wild Dunes Resort in Charleston, SC:
how charming the Accommodations are.
We all know the typical hotel room. We’ve stayed at them plenty of times. One of our favorite things about the Wild Dunes Resort in Charleston is that they offer a wide range of different room accommodations. Whether you’re traveling with a group, solo, as a couple or anything else under the sun, there’s an option that will be perfect for you. Wild Dunes Resort features beautiful spaces ranging from standard rooms and suites to private condos and beach house rentals (sign me up!).
Location is key when traveling and Wild Dunes Resort is the perfect example of this. Wild Dunes Resort is in Charleston on the sunny and scenic Isle of Palms. With Wild Dunes Resort, you get the best of both worlds - the resort makes it easy to get both to the beach and city. If you’re not familiar with Charleston, the resort is ON the beachfront so you have the opportunity to experience the laid-back magic of a small, quaint beach town during the day but you’re still really close to downtown Charleston so you can also enjoy the restaurants and activities the city has to offer.
Pampering at the Spa.
Is there anything more relaxing and luxurious than an afternoon spent at a spa? I can’t think of single thing (except maybe eating pizza and laying in bed watching Netflix all day, but I digress). As if the location of Wild Dunes Resort wasn’t relaxing enough, they also have an incredible spa at the resort. The resort is a AAA Four Diamond-rated resort so it’s safe to say their spa treatments and packages are going to be top-notch. Treat yourself to a couple’s spa package, a warm seashell pedicure (yes, please!) or take some alone time and enjoy the treatments solo! The Southern Magnolia or Chamomile Mint in the Lowcountry Massage is everything.
Let’s be honest with ourselves, we all want great food when we’re on vacation. Who wouldn’t?! Fortunately, you can count on Wild Dunes Resort to keep you full and happy. The resort has quite a few different restaurants to choose from so if you don’t want to leave the resort to enjoy a great meal, you don’t have to. Score! Each of their restaurants has its own aesthetic and own focus on cuisine to give you plenty of variety. Whether you’re craving biscuits and gravy from Huey’s Southern Eats (make sure to ask about who Huey is) to a frozen Tipsy Turtle cocktail at Beachside Burgers and Bar, there’s no going hungry during your stay at Wild Dunes Resort. I mean, I’m still dreaming about the crab cakes and fried green tomatoes (the best I’ve had in my whole life, btw) from The Terrace at Coastal Provisions, one of my favorite restaurants not only on the resort, but EVER. Yes, it was really that good and yes, you need to dine there.
there is so much to do.
Whatever activities you enjoy experiencing on vacation, Wild Dunes Resort has something amazing to offer you. The resort has everything from bike rentals and paddleboarding workshops to 36 holes of championship golf, water sports and more. Wild Dunes Resort makes it super easy for you to plan any and all of your activities so you don’t have to stress about a thing, making it a perfect place to take a family vacation or solo retreat. There were quite a few afternoons during my stay spent riding bikes for hours followed by curling up in a poolside cabana with a good book and they could not have been more relaxing!
