5 Reasons to Stay at the Westgate New York Grand Central.

“Where should I stay when I visit NYC?” is one of the questions I’m asked the most frequently. And one of my most frequent answers? The Westgate New York Grand Central. I had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful hotel recently and have been back a handful of times since to film a segment, catch up with friends over drinks, and just to take a much-needed staycation in Manhattan. It has the perfect combination of charm, whimsy, and history that you’d hope for during a visit to the Big Apple.

Here’s why you should plan your next stay in New York City at the Westgate New York Grand Central.

  1. the location.

If you’re visiting New York City for the first time, location should be a top priority. There is so much to do and see in the Big Apple, and staying right in the hustle and bustle of it makes all of the difference. The Westgate Hotel New York Grand Central is centrally located in the heart of midtown Manhattan in Tudor City, making it close to tons of must-see attractions like Times Square, Bryant Park, Radio City Music Hall, the United Nations, and Grand Central Terminal. This gorgeous hotel is also within walking distance to the Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center, and so much more.

2. The History.

There is a rich history and lure behind Tudor City and the surrounding Murray Hill district of Manhattan's Midtown East corridor. Not only is the neighborhood historic though, but the Westgate New York Grand Central is as well. The hotel has so much history built within its walls and is part of Historic Hotels of America, the official program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation for recognizing and celebrating historic hotels.

3. luxury.

Westgate Resorts always feel super luxurious and the Westgate New York Grand Central checks off all the boxes. The hotel recently completed a $20 million renovation and it definitely shows. From elegantly timeless balconies with stunning views of Manhattan to private bathrooms with quartz vanities and backlit LED mirrors, this hotel is exactly the type of luxury you deserve to come back to after a long day of exploring New York City. The first time I visited the beautiful hotel, I couldn’t wait to snuggle up under the luxurious comforter!

4. The Cocktails.

If I could only have one cocktail for the rest of my life, it would be The Bodega at the Westgate New York Grand Central. This delicious cocktail served at the Tudor City Tavern is just one of many mouthwatering signature cocktails I had the opportunity to try while staying at the hotel. With ingredients like agave, fresh cucumber, jalapenos, and Los Vecinos Del Campo® Espadín Mezcal, it’s simply impossible to visit the Westgate New York Grand Central without a stop for one. 5. The Hospitality.

And the number one reason to stay at any Westgate Resort? The hospitality. The staff was incredibly kind, generous, and welcoming during my initial stay and every stay since. The Westgate Hotel New York Grand Central’s hospitality is truly unparalleled and worth a visit in itself. New Yorkers are normally known for being a little straight-to-the-point, but you won’t see anything but smiles here.
